How can Miami Beach be saved from rising seas?
Friday, April 10th, 2009If the sea levels DO rise and Miami, London, Tokyo etc are about to be permanently flooded.
So if Miami Beach is about to go underwater – would levees and dikes and sea walls actually protect Miami, Miami Beach and all the artificial islands – surely all the rich communities like Star Island where many rich celebrities live would not be allowed to be permanently flooded – surely the US Government or the State of Florida would have to do something to protect the area.
What could and will be done to protect South Florida – please dont say stuff like – they will move inland as I am almost certain they wouldn’t allow mansions of the rich and famous and the well known Miami Beach fall victim of the sea?
I have also heard from scientists that the majority of Antarctica CANNOT melt as it is in PERMAFROST – if you dont agree please explain
