My friends and I are booking spring break in South Beach. Problem is, since we’re booking it so late, the best thing we could find in our price range is 2 miles from South Beach’s art deco district at 43rd and collins. We wanted to avoid cabs (are they more expensive there?) so I’m looking into buses or trains. Is there anything that runs all night from 43rd and Collins to around 6th and Ocean? And what would the stops be if there is?

Google Public Transit doesn’t work for Miami, I also checked the Miami-dade transit site, but their routes are very unclear. I hope some could help me for the directions.

Wonder if I should stay motel around airport and just drive to south beach for shopping or night clubs,, or spend more $$$ and stay Miami beach. I wanna find motels less than 100 bucks.. but seems like its more than that in that area. I guess its only about 20min from airport area to Miami beach… so its not too far… please give me advice!!!! one more question! can i enjoy night life on the weekday??? thank you!

Hi! We are leaving tomorrow morning to head to Miami. FL for my brother’s wedding. We really want to go to the beach, but don’t want to go to South Beach because it’s WAY too crowded and I would be REALLY nervous with a two year old there! Anyway, does anyone know of another beach close by that isn’t as crowded?!? THANKS! Also any other ‘tourist’ advice like restaurants, etc. is welcome too!
